The Magic Of My Golden Compass

This is the picture of the School that owns my very purpose in life.

Some related writings were provided for us to have a clear illustrations on why we consider the School as the GOLDEN COMPASS

The School is just six and a half kilometer away from The” REFERRENCE POINT OF ALL ROADS IN MINDANAO (0.000 KM).Being within this vicinity is a pride and a thing to consider. Any one will say that we were bit lucky. Yes we are, but in terms of Economy and Education we are far from anybody’s expectation. Knowing that farming is our major source of income, only few have financial capacity, with regards to Education. This makes the people decline on sending their Children to School. That is why the recognition of the school was to their advantage

The School is conveniently located at Bobo, Piagapo, which was named Geographically, “BUBONGA-MARANTAO, MEANS OVERLOOKING Marantao”. It was created through the earnest effort of the Macatanong Family, most specifically Hadja Nawarah A. Macatanong, Superintendent of Marawi City, Lanao del Sur and with the initial effort of Sultan Saidamen Hadji Daud. This School is jointly implemented by the School Principal and the Community. Now with twelve Faculty Members, two of them were with an itemized positions and six more coming itemize positions. With this fast growing development, we can generalize that it was progressive for the past four year.

It was created March 2, 2003 and was recognized on the following year. A cycle of its history confused others while few were amazed. The School’s documents was initially address to Ilian in which its most progressive development occurred. At an early stage of its implementation, it was denied by the said address due to accommodation problem. The school management and the implementing officials rushed to be cradled by the neighboring barangay-Bobo, which is just a half kilometer away from the approved site. It was almost done when an alternative of mediator won. Like a picture of the past, the school management pack-up necessary things and returned to where it belong. It was a three fruitful life that the school shed with the people of Ilian and the Central Elementary School where it was housed.

The School discovered its necessity on some related things that includes permanent site to accommodate Buildings, furniture and fixture that its location cannot provide. Like boxes of puzzles which were done for solutions, an alternative provided was possible. Soon after the approval of its transfer to Barangay Bobo, the school management and the Faculties bound to say farewell to Ilian. Without much ado, the faculty members and the management say ADIOS to the place and follow the GOLDEN COMPASS.

NOW, a haunted place became a site for learning. Built from within are two-storey building with six classrooms that housed all the needs of the school and the students. Surrounded by tents of all year level; from first to fourth year, viewing like a Palace with it newly build Stage on the Hill. Where else could fear find the hearts of the students and the members of the Teaching Force when they are bounded by surety and confidence of depending on the VISION & MISSION of the School?

The School will be celebrating its four year of existence this summer. The most congested conditions they have for the past was replaced by the amazing view of the school presently. If everything sounds good, it was because the management and the Faculties were united, leaving no space for uncertainty.

KIRIM

Kirim is a Maranaw term for a notebook. This symbolizes an old notebook that contents any of the adventure of Bantogen and his Clan. The stories with in this Notebook are series of stories by episode. The most popular stories among his adventure were love stories, leadership, heroism and other related stories that make him distinct to the other Darangen Characters. On love story, was a story on “kapagondoga” of which he broke with the mother of Payongan because of jealousy? He noticed a necklace on his child and happens to be similar on his. He thought of Mabaning to be courting his wife, and the same might be a gift to his wife. The said jewelry represents their clan. Without justifications, he sent his wife home, leaving two daughters in “lamin” (royal House). The lonesome story expanded waywardly when the younger daughter look for a mother to breast feed her. The touching story ended on the realization that his wife was his first degree cousin. The necklace belongs to her because she is a Royal Family in Bumbaran.

That was one of the kirim that most Maranaw enjoyed in reading. On this school building its serves as kirim to the students, the faculties and all those who wish to discover its existence. The pathways, stairs, windows and all parts of the building instill a never ending story, sub-divided events and chapters. Like that of the kirim that every pages brings us to know about a story, or an episode of Darangen. As we opened the door of its Hallway, it portrays another stage of management by another head and generation of students. Phase of this school is totally dependent on time. The story we have now will be tomorrow a legend.

These paragraphs and phrases described our School'existence. I just condensed them here to justify my header. The following Paragraphs were my compositions that reflects my struggles. many times we were denied by the original address of the school in the absence of integrity

School Legend :The Magic of the Golden Compass

Once upon a time there came a man with a “GOLDEN COMPASS” He arrived in a place which to him his home. He sat under a shade of the place which instills his trust and confidence. He starts knocking at their doors for many times but no one was there. He glances at his Golden Compass and wonder whether he was really on the right direction. He noticed the compass to be directing him to the East, but he was in East. He knocked again until he was mistaken to be a beggar, doors were closed. Wondering of nowhere, he diverted his compass to the North. The people were astonished by his direction, but he was welcome. The man with the golden compass started to settle down, although he disorganizes the people with his anonymity.

The people of the East learned that he was not a beggar but a man with a golden compass. The people of this place think of best mode in entrapping him. He was caught and was brought back to the original direction of the compass. When he was there, keeping his compass in hands, naughty boys came to play with his compass. They thought it is a toy. He cannot avoid the boys, and think rationally of depending his compass. He must find a place that can understand the best of this golden compass.

Alas! The man said. I must redirect my compass again. He retuned back in North and he was given the same treatment before. They knew that he was not a beggar nor a peddler, but a man who bring with him a compass that directs the well- being of the people and the community. He was provided with a place that can be regarded as sanctuary for a golden compass and all individuals who believed on the “MAGIC OF THE GOLDEN COMPASS”. The man live happily ever after with his golden Compass.....THE END!
